Copy About me

It's me...

Open. Honest. Authentic. Respectful. Astute. And always friendly, in a good mood and positive.

That would be the short version.

Of course, I'm also happy to share the long version, divided into "professional" and "private". Just keep scrolling and swiping...

Professionally

In my more than 22 years of professional experience in international sales management for a German, medium-sized company group, I have been able to learn a lot.

I started as a project manager in the eBusiness Solutions department and then moved on to work in customer service for an affiliated company. There I was responsible for key accounts in the DACH region, as well as for international customers.

My goal at the time was to work successfully in the field - so very close to the market and the customer. After about a year in the office, my dream came true and I was able to prove myself in the European environment. That was business development in its purest form. I traveled by car and plane across Russia, Turkey and Italy to establish and develop business relationships.

Five years later, I returned to headquarters to continue my career as an Area Sales Manager. My focus was on supporting and supervising international subsidiaries, initially in Europe. Later, my responsibility for Asia/Pacific provided a valuable broadening of my professional horizons.

In 2013, he moved into regional management of the holding company with strategic 4P responsibility (Product, Promotion, Place and Price) for four international markets, which contributed around €150 million to the group result.

From change management, leadership, project management, marketing strategies, global pricing conception to working on business models, value propositions and responsibility for results, pretty much everything was there.

What has always given me the most joy is working with people – with great colleagues at home and abroad and, of course, with our customers and network partners.

I have had the opportunity to plan, design and moderate countless workshops, training sessions and customer events and have always found this aspect of the job incredibly inspiring and enriching.

In my home office, on the other hand, I have withered over time like a plant that doesn't get enough water. Stewing in my own juice has never been my thing and - at least not in this life - it will never be my thing.

I need direct contact with people, the energy of collaboration and the feeling of having contributed something valuable like breathing air. And I love variety.

The career step into self-employment in the areas of coaching, consulting and training - in addition to other entrepreneurial activities - was simply exactly the right step.

Private

As a strong family person, I enjoy all facets of family life in my private life.

My two daughters are full of life and bring a lot of fresh air and joy to my partner and me.

I have always loved traveling and getting to know foreign cultures and mentalities. The world has so much to offer and I feel it is a great privilege to go on a journey of discovery together.

Traveling educates, grounds and broadens one’s horizons.

Sport is essential to staying fit and active for a long time. While I used to be very active in tennis, basketball and squash, these days I keep fit by hiking in the great outdoors and doing equipment and cardio training in the gym.

As an absolute foodie, I hardly miss out on any culinary delight. From home cooking to street food to fine dining, I am enthusiastic about everything and consider myself lucky to have already eaten in some of the world's best restaurants such as Mirazur, Ledbury, Arzak, Nobu, Indian Accen, Steirereck and Heston Blumenthal.
Cooking is a fascinating art form that I really enjoy.

Otherwise, I am the proud owner of a small, select collection of records that I really appreciate and love to listen to, especially in the digital age of Spotify & Co. It consists mainly of good hip hop and house, but rarities such as Michael Jackson's album "Bad" in the first pressing from 1987 are also part of my collection.

I like timeless and classic things in life and often associate beautiful memories and emotions with them. For example, I enjoy our Wagenfeld lamp in the living room every day. The lamp, a very aesthetic example of the Bauhaus style, was a very special gift from my partner for my 30th birthday.

The concept for the contents of my closet is simple and efficient. In the closet there are about 8 polo shirts, 4 merino sweaters, 4 white shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 chinos and 2 suits. The rest is underwear, socks and a few ties.

Why complicate things when you can do it simply? The less I have to think about fashion decisions in the morning, the more I can devote myself to other, more important things - my cup of coffee, for example. I really don't like starting the day without a good cup of coffee in the morning.

Last but not least, I would like to mention that I am a huge fan of so-called life-long learning (i.e. lifelong, never-ending learning). It is important to remain open, curious and hungry for new impulses in life. Life is a gift and there are so many ways to make it unique! For me, standing still is a step backwards.
